Only a few weeks before the end of the year we have some exciting news to share with you: Ariane Cap, an experienced bass player, educator and bestselling book author has joined our team. She is an expert in education of music students, and has recently completed the highly rated book "Music Theory for the Bass Player: A Comprehensive and Hands-on Guide to Playing with More Confidence and Freedom".
Together with her we'll be working on developing an entirely new concept for a hands-on and equally fun tool to teach you the essentials of chord progressions as used in Liquid Notes.
Understanding the theory of chord progressions in Liquid Notes
We informed you about our intention to design a course that covers the essentials of harmony, especially chord progressions, a little more than a year ago. The response to that has been great and very encouraging, yet as we reported some weeks ago in this post to us it is of utter importance that we get it right the first time.
Hence, over the past 12 months we have spent a lot of time going deep on your feedback and did more research to understand better what is needed. This work continues today, however with the addition of Ariane Cap to our team we now can call upon the expertise of a bestselling book author who has worked as an educator for a long time. And, she just recently completed above mentioned study book that was very well received and rated highly by experts in the field.
Ariane will play a key role in product development, starting with Liquid Notes and beyond. That naturally includes working on a music theory course that teaches the in and outs of harmony, especially chord progressions. Finding a way for you to get a good understanding of the theory governing our algorithms, and having fun in the process while learning it, is what we aim for.
With that said, expect us to work on this course further before a decision will be taken on it. As always, we'll communicate this to you as soon as we're ready.
Meanwhile, have a go and visit Ariane's blog to find out more about her. And, leave us your feedback in the comments below.
